Incubator: cultivating creative and community-oriented small businesses

Spaceworks’ Incubator provides relevant and meaningful small business training, coaching, technical assistance, and networking support to entrepreneurs creating or growing Tacoma-based businesses.
We work with a growing roster of innovative, creative businesses that are strengthening our creative economy and making Tacoma a destination city.

We encourage entrepreneurs who are seeking to launch or grow a thriving, locally based businesses to participate in our Incubator. We offer an application-based Business Planning Cohort,  regular workshops open to the public, and a suite of services to graduates of our cohorts.

Spaceworks Entrepreneur Success Series: Part II Business Plan for Funding

Join the Spaceworks Incubator in breaking down the barriers to business funding in our two-part workshop series. Create a ‘one page’ business plan specifically for requesting funding from lenders. They want to see your ability to repay the loan, your experience, growth potential, etc. We’ll help you get organized and concise with your information as we fill out the business plan template highlighting your business and financial projections.


This workshop is IN PERSON (masks required regardless of vaccination status) at the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce located at 950 Pacific Ave, Suite 300 in downtown Tacoma.

Fern + Foster

Fern + Foster is a team of perinatal providers: a nurse-midwife, a lactation consultant, and a doula.  It is a place for Tacoma families to access care and community during their early years.

Most of Spaceworks training sessions are located at the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber, which is located at 950 Pacific, Suite 300, Tacoma, WA, 98402. The office and meeting rooms on the third floor are serviced by an elevator and are wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are also on the third floor and are wheelchair accessible. Other events or programs may occur at businesses throughout the city. Due to COVID-19, programs are available through Zoom meetings.

Service animals are welcome.

Large print copies of training materials are available upon request.

American Sign Language interpreters are available upon request for any training or workshop. Please contact two weeks in advance to request an interpreter.
