Spaceworks’ Incubator offers a variety of services to help creative entrepreneurs and business owners gain training and knowledge in business basics, strategy, and skills. Our core program is the Business Planning Cohort, a 36-hour course taken in person (happening virtually due to COVID-19) over 12 weeks, and occurs twice a year.
Applications for the Summer 2021 cohort will be available March 1, 2021. The Summer 2021 Cohort will begin on June 8th.
We also offer workshops that are open to the public as well as graduates of our cohorts.
We work with a fantastic roster of business owners, experts, and professionals, from our coaches and resource providers to our alumni. Sometimes they teach us how to do what they do, and we provide a platform for them to share these skills with Tacoma.
Example workshop topics include working with a designer, small business taxes, creating solid video content, etc.
Workshops have varying price tags for community members and are free to Spaceworks alumni.
Spaceworks welcomes all clients and will obtain reasonable and appropriate accommodations for those with disabilities. We support equal access to our websites, services, programs, and activities. Accommodations for our programs should be made at least two weeks in advance by calling 253.627.2175 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Most of Spaceworks training sessions are located at the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber, which is located at 950 Pacific, Suite 300, Tacoma, WA, 98402. The office and meeting rooms on the third floor are serviced by an elevator and are wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are also on the third floor and are wheelchair accessible. Other events or programs may occur at businesses throughout the city. Due to COVID-19, programs will be held virtually via Zoom.
Service animals are welcome.
Large print copies of training materials are available upon request.
American Sign Language interpreters are available upon request for any training or workshop. Please contact email@example.com two weeks in advance to request an interpreter.
