We connect creatives to opportunity.

We collaborate with diverse partners like artists, community organizations, and residents working together to revitalize spaces and enhance community well-being.

Spaceworks uses creative placemaking as a community development approach that strategically uses arts, culture, and design to shape the physical and social character of a place.  fostering vibrancy, economic development, and social change.

At Spaceworks, our commitment to Tacoma’s creative community extends beyond our renowned public art programs. We are active advocates for the systems that allow artists and microenterprises to thrive. We champion livable wages for creatives and fight for affordable spaces where ideas can take root.

Choose your opportunity:

Incubator Program

Due to Federal Funding freezes, our Incubator program, that supports creative entrepreneurs, is on hold while we find new funding opportunities.

Spaceworks seeks creative entrepreneurs who want to grow a thriving business and make a positive impact in Tacoma. We serve as a training ground to test new ideas, products, and services with a safety net of technical assistance and mentorship. We’ve helped hundreds of businesses transform from dream to reality. Artscapes Program

You can find Spaceworks all across Tacoma and Pierce County. We turn the city into a canvas – activating downtown windows like our Woolworth Windows, hosting our annual Mural Fest, and supporting rapid and permanent public art. In partnership with local artists and organizations, our creative placemaking builds a safer, more welcoming community for everyone. We’re proud of our impact.
