FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 6-9PM, 2022
Court House Square, 1102 A Street
For 12 years, Spaceworks has been a pillar of support for artists and creative entrepreneurs in Tacoma. What began as a downtown window filled with art has turned into a suite of programs that empower creatives to grow as professionals. This summer, join the Spaceworks community and reaffirm that creativity is indeed a shared value that defines our city.
CACHET is a vibrant dinner fundraiser, 21+. Cocktail attire (especially gold, black, and white) is always encouraged.
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Doors open, Silent Auction, Light Appetizers and Drinks
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Dinner and Live Music
8:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Main Program, including a Live Auction, Director’s Speech, Alumni Testimonial, and Raise the Paddle
Fundraising Auctioneer Laura Michalek deploys humor and a piston-fast chatter to raise money for worthy causes. We’re excited to have her return for her fifth Spaceworks auction! We’ll also be joined by Amanda Westbrooke as our emcee!
While we hope that the pandemic will continue to ease, we are also committed to protocols that may aid in your decision to attend CACHET. To ensure the safety of our guests, we require all ticket holders to show proof of COVID-19 vaccine or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event, along with government-issued ID. All staff and volunteers will be tested the day of the event. We will follow any additional guidance from the Pierce County Health Department as conditions change. Masks may be worn according to your comfort level. We will also have rapid tests and masks on site if needed.
CACHET officially begins at 6:00 pm, but doors will open for check-in at 5:30 pm. The location for Court House Square is 1102 A Street. There are three accessible entrances to the building, and we will have signs and volunteers to welcome you to the event.
Transportation to CACHET
Court House Square is accessible by bus routes #28 and #1 and just a couple blocks from the Commerce St. Transit Center and Light Rail.
There is ample public street parking, which is metered until 6pm, and free after that. If you prefer parking structures, the nearest options are the Tacoma Parking Garage (across 11th Street), Pacific Plaza (2 blocks away), and Park Plaza North (2 blocks away).
We will have coat check available at check-in.
1 Event, 2 Rooms
CACHET will begin on the first floor at the Gallery, near Lift Bridge Coffee and the post office. At 7:00 pm, we will proceed to the 4th floor Ballroom, led by a surprise musical guest. Stairs and elevators are available. The remainder of the event, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, will occur at the Ballroom.
Jan Parker Cookery and Lumpia Love will provide a buffet-style dinner, including: grilled pork belly, salmon ginataan, vegan mango noodle salad, spam/avocado musubi, pancit noodle with Chinese sausage, si pao, and a mango float with cookie crumble. Tables are assigned. We decided to skip a formal program during dinner so that you can catch up with folks and make new friends! It’s been too long since we last gathered and we suspect there will be a lot to share. Dinner will conclude at 8:00 pm and will shift into the main program and live auction.
We will have a photographer and videographer to document the event.
What to wear
Creative cocktail attire is encouraged, especially staying within the color scheme of black, white, and gold. Check out our CACHET mood board on Pinterest.
Check or Credit Card Only
We are only accepting credit/debit cards, checks, or bid numbers at the event.
Can’t make it to CACHET? Consider making a tax deductible donation. Your financial support will allow us to train more entrepreneurs, create murals, provide space, and continue to make Tacoma a great place for creatives.

Sponsors play a major role in Spaceworks completing our goals. Join our mission in keeping Tacoma culturally vibrant and economically strong through training and support for artists and creative entrepreneurs. We have CACHET sponsorship levels ranging from $5000 – $1000.
Volunteer at CACHET
Looking for other ways to contribute? We could use volunteers before the event with planning, procuring auction items, recruit attendees, and create decorations. Then, the day of the event, we have volunteer positions for set-up, registration, auction spotters, tear down, etc.
