“We love the possibilities that poetry offers to celebrate our multiculturalism – and to remind us of our oneness. We see this Artscapes project as, possibly, a first step in a broader public art project that would fill the blank, often gray spaces on Tacoma’s buildings, buses and billboards with poems. Our hope is that the poems would offer passers-by a reason to slow down, to read, and to celebrate life, creativity and our great city.”
