Radicle growth is a community based organization that utilizes horticultural and agricultural therapy to improve overall mental health and well-being by connecting participants to self, land, and community. radicle growth consists of a series of group sessions in which participants engage with agricultural activities. Within each session participants are introduced to a particular topic (i.e. nature as metaphor, radical hope, reciprocity, interdependence, rooting and grounding, etc.), We then engage in an activity aligned with the session topic. upon completion of our task, participants are offered space to reflect on their experience and journal before coming back into our community circle to share their thoughts with the group.

When we lose touch with nature, we lose an essential kinship and interdependent relationship to the natural world and therefore lose vital ways of understanding our experiences. Through relationships we find meaning and serenity in times of immense strife. A radicle is the first part of a seedling to emerge from the seed, and acts as the primary root of a new plant that anchors the seed into the soil. Radicle Growth aims to do this for folks in our community.
