Spring Cohort 2020
We would be supporting the local music community by routinely booking local acts alongside high-quality touring acts who are making efforts to gain audiences outside of their own local scenes.
Our overarching goal would be to strengthen the local music community as a tight-knit, diverse network of people who support and encourage one another to grow as artists, rather than existing as separate “scenes” characterized by boxed-in genres, which is how I believe music becomes stagnant and lacking in growth and inspiration. As a relatively smaller community, Tacoma has the potential to break down boundaries, blend, and collaborate.
