Trini Plate is a Caribbean food business. It’s a taste of the Caribbean, right here in the Pacific Northwest. It’s heavily inspired by my culture and my family. I recreate and sell various types of food and pastries from Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. Trinidad boasts a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic society, a melting pot as we call it, and a lot of that is reflected in the food I make for the business.
Our food comes from West Africa, India/South Asia, China, Latin America, and there’s even some European influences. The response to my food has been overwhelmingly positive, and making people happy with my food is what drives me to continue trying to make this business work. My customers tend to be people of Caribbean descent and adventurous foodies looking to try something new.
