Turtledust Media

In February 2014, Nick Butler launched Turtledust Media as an animation studio focused on fostering new industry in Tacoma by providing education and opportunities in the field of animation production. Nick Butler worked on his Peanut Butter Jelly Jam project that had been 10 years in the making. Originally developed for JIFFY Peanut Butter Bars the idea took on a life of its own. In 2013 Turtledust Media won “Best Use of Prop” for their animation the Flashlight Princess at the Grand Cinema’s 72 Hour Film Festival. In the same year, they were nominated for best visual effects at the Buffalo Dreams Film Festival for their work on the feature film Imago. Peanut Butter Jelly Jam will be Turtledust Media’s first fully computer-generated animated short. See what happens when Milo and i4 are left home alone with a collection of delicious jellies and bump’n jams,  Nick continues to work on it from his home studio.
