Congratulations to the newest graduates of Spaceworks Incubator Business Planning Cohort!

We’re pleased to announce the newest entrepreneurs graduating from the Business Planning Cohort, just one of the many programs we offer in our Incubator program. Over three months, 18 entrepreneurs and small business owners with 12 businesses have determined the feasibility of their business ideas, researched their markets, created marketing and financial plans, and determined their launch or growth strategies. Look for these businesses in the coming months!

The following images are from the graduation event, May 21st, 2019. Opening remarks were given by  Michael Liang (Spaceworks Director) and JD Elquist (Downtown Retail Advocate, Incubator Alumni 2012). The main feature included each entrepreneur delivering a final presentation of their business, followed by questions from the audience. Then for the finale, of course, diplomas and a toast!

The program provides relevant and meaningful business training and peer-to-peer support to the participants to systematically grow Tacoma’s creative class and generate destination quality activities that engage and transform our community. We serve as a training ground to test new ideas, products, and services with a safety net of technical assistance and mentorship. We work with a growing roster of innovative, creative businesses that are strengthening our economy and making Tacoma a destination city.

We encourage entrepreneurs who are seeking to launch or grow a thriving business to participate in our Incubator program. To join, you must attend our hands-on, step-by-step, strategy-building Entrepreneur Success Workshop. Anyone is welcome to participate, but registration is required. Sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on Spaceworks events.
