Tacoma is in dire need of a safe place where people can openly discuss their sexual concerns and overall wellbeing, and Consensual is that place. Data from my market research showed that 14 out of 15 knowledgeable individuals confirm the need for this venture in Tacoma. For a physical retail space, customers would experience happy, gentle music, warm colors, “posi vibes” with images of rad, relevant historical figures, questions for contemplation, resources conveniently displayed, and consent-based imagery and language all over the place. We want to provide our communities with a space to ask questions, find their voices, learn from each other, and confront these challenging, important issues, and give them the tools (and toys) to go forth in empowerment.
