“My fascination with clouds and the atmosphere has intensified along with climate change. Whether it’s wildfire smoke or sunny skies overhead, water coloring the skies I find myself under has become a study in how the human psyche is impacted by the environment. Human innovations like cloud seeding have inspired me to rethink what it means for humans to act upon our surroundings.

The cloud sculpture on display features handmade seed papers made with native wildflower seeds. Decorated with wishes for the earth contributed by many, these papers will be planted later and grow into native plants essential to supporting local wildlife.

As humans grapple with our role in a changing world I hope to encourage more positive climate interactions which mutually benefit both humans and the earth.”
