Spaceworks Tacoma is excited to announce the grand openings of two new local businesses: Restyle Clothing Co. and Jade & Co., both hosting celebrations on Friday, May 11, 2018. The talented entrepreneurs who launched these businesses, Kirsten Reynolds and Jennie Serrano, joined Spaceworks Incubator program in 2017 and completed Spaceworks small business training.
After developing their business plans, they diligently researched and pursued commercial space for their enterprises. Spaceworks is thrilled to support these two women as they bring new and enticing retail experiences to our region.

Jennie got the idea for her store after realizing there was a lack of quality succulents and education in our area. She wanted to help people to green their spaces so she started specializing in hard to find succulents, tropical houseplants, and workshops. Her green thumb made Jennie popular at farmers markets and pop-up shops, but to grow her business she joined Spaceworks Incubator in 2017.
“Spaceworks was a crash course in the elements of success of a business and production of a business plan. Plus alumni meetings to network and discuss pertinent business stuff, and having supportive classmates was the best!” commented Serrano.
Kirsten, on the other hand, took a different approach to “green business” by developing her idea for an upcycled clothing and home furnishings shop. Restyle Clothing Co. serves women and men, shoppers, looking for quality clothing at non-department store prices. Kirsten put her own spin on the thrift shop model. By providing more options for consignment, clothing swaps, and upcycling, she invites her customers to be a part of an eco-friendly social movement.
“Kirsten is an inspired entrepreneur, passionate and personable in everything I’ve seen her do. She brought a positive attitude to class and helped motivate her fellow cohort members to pursue their passions through all the challenges of starting a business. We’re very excited for the launch of Restyle and to support Kirsten in her fabulous new business!” said Gwen Kohl, Spaceworks Incubator Coordinator.
