Grand Openings of Two Women-Owned Businesses

The weekend of May 11, marked Grand Openings of Restyle Clothing Co and Jade & Co. The talented entrepreneurs who launched these businesses, Kirsten Reynolds and Jennie Serrano, joined Spaceworks Incubator program in 2017 and completed Spaceworks small business training. Read more in our Newsroom

National Launch of the Clemm Rishad Brand and Preview of Sky Creative

Sky Creative celebrated the National Launch of the Clemm Rishad Brand. The night included a night of collaborative showcases of Fashion, Art, and Music that Clemm Rishad has produced.

Spaceworks Tacoma Seeks New Director

Manager Heather Joy is leaving Spaceworks Tacoma to work full time in her own arts company and we are looking for the next leader. Over the past eight years, Spaceworks has developed into a pillar of the Tacoma arts and maker communities, while invigorating the entrepreneurial ecosystem. We are seeking the next Spaceworks Program Director to grow the program and the entrepreneurial community.

Destiny City Comics and Arts Festival

Come meet local artists who make comics! Destiny City Comics is working with Alma Mater Tacoma to host independent writers and artists who can’t wait to sell you their latest zine or other concoction. Featuring special guest Sloane Leong, creator of Prism Stalker.

Tacoma Artists are invited to submit an application to table before June 11.

Center for Lost and Found, New Special Project

Following on the heels of Artistic License DEPT, a new Spaceworks Special Project activates another space at the Commerce Street transit center. The Center for the Lost and Found is a place to share stories of lost or found objects and spread them into the community. Come create your very own lost or found poster and the CLF artists will post them around town.
