Introducing Spaceworks’ Summer Interns

Nova Clark (left), and Bridget Myers (right) join Spaceworks as 2019 summer interns.

Spaceworks is excited to introduce Nova Clark and Bridget Myers to our team! Nova and Bridget come to Spaceworks through the University of Puget Sound’s Summer Fellowship Internship Program.

In their first three weeks of the internship, they helped us pull off our formal fundraiser CACHET, audited/edited our website, made a social media plan, distributed a survey, and helped us plan for our upcoming NEON Art Party Fundraiser (August 17, 2019, at Normanna Hall). We have an incredible amount of work to do at Spaceworks, and Nova and Bridget will be immensely helpful this summer. They both bring an impressive range of knowledge, skills, and experience to this internship. Here’s more info about each of them:

Nova Clark
Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, Nova moved to Tacoma in 2016 to attend the University of Puget Sound. Currently a senior, she is pursuing dual degrees in Business Leadership and Environmental Policy and Decision-Making. This summer, she is excited to engage more with the Tacoma community and utilize her technology skills.

Bridget Myers
Bridget just finished up her junior year at the University of Puget Sound where she’s studying Business Leadership and Studio Art. She blends these two passions in her own creative business, Hex Handmade, through which she designs, markets and sells jewelry and hand-sewn fabric and leather crafted goods. Last summer she channeled these interests at an internship for Looptworks, a Portland-based company that upcycles pre- and post-consumer textiles into useful products. Her other sources of joy are cooking with friends, gardening, spending time outside and living sustainably.
