Have a business idea or want to learn business strategy for your existing creative business? The Spaceworks Incubator is for entrepreneurs who have an innovative/unique vision and want to be part of Tacoma’s local economic community. Entrepreneurs are provided with the tools, resources, and support they need to determine the feasibility of their small business or non-profit in Tacoma and develop a business strategy. Participants enjoy peer support and exchange while in the cohort, often forming a long lasting support network.

Spaceworks’ Incubator offers a variety of services to help creative entrepreneurs and business owners gain training and knowledge in business basics, strategy, and skills. Our two core programs are the Business Launch Cohort, a 36-hour course over 12 weeks for entrepreneurs with an existing product or service, and the Business Foundations Cohort, a 8 hour course over 4 weeks for entrepreneurs with a business idea. Both cohorts occur twice a year.

BUSINESS FOUNDATIONS focuses on the idea phase of business for 4 weeks. Some of the class highlights are understanding the ‘why’ behind your business, what business structure is best for you, and developing your vision, mission, and values statements. At the end of this cohort, you will have a clear understanding of your business foundations and the next steps to move forward and make it happen. Start date: November 1, 2022.

*Applications are always open and there is no selection process for the Business Foundations.
