Business Planning Cohort

Have a business idea or want to learn business strategy for your existing creative business? The Business Planning Cohort is for entrepreneurs who have an innovative/unique vision and want to be part of Tacoma’s local economic community. Participants of this cohort commit to a 36-hour course (3 hours per week in class) taken in person over 12 weeks. While in the cohort, entrepreneurs are provided with the tools, resources, and support they need to determine the feasibility of their small business or non-profit in Tacoma and develop a business strategy. Participants enjoy peer support and exchange while in the cohort, often forming a long lasting support network.

Cohorts are offered in the spring and fall each year. Applications are due in December for  spring cohorts and June for fall cohorts.

Applications are reviewed by a panel of business owners, coaches, alumni, and steering committee members who select up to 12 businesses for each cohort.
